Eco-Friendly “Wood” Stove Can Power a Small House, Using Garbage for Fuel

-

This wood burner heats your home AND creates electricity.

Wood burning stoves are increasingly popular as an efficient and cheaper way of heating your home.

If you live in an area where you have easy access to wood, they are a super efficient way of heating your house, as they can be run for free and provide a satisfying warmth that radiates throughout the whole house.

But now stove design has gotten even better. The new InStove is a wood burner that also generates electricity for your home, reducing the overall price of your electricity bills.

The stove is a ‘multi-fuel’ burner meaning it can burn wood, pellets, briquettes and almost any other type of fuel including waste paper and garbage. This means you could be creating energy for your home whilst getting rid of your rubbish, talk about self-sufficient.

The stove has even been designed so that it is self-fueling, meaning it can be loaded with the appropriate fuel and left while it tops itself up for hours.

Inside the stove it is capable of reaching temperatures of 2200 degrees whilst at the same time producing hot water for the home and producing up to 500 watts of electricity.

The generator that is fitted inside the wood burner is highly efficient and runs almost silently – noise is sometimes a negative factor in renewable energy sources such as wind turbines.

The price of the InStove is around $900 and they can run for about 10 years before it will need to be serviced.

They are suitable for any type of home and are recommended for people who desire to make their home a little bit more self sufficient, while helping the environment and cutting the cost of your household bills.

The InStoves mission is to fight global warming while at the same time, helping people to live off-grid.
