Cute lynx puppies give man an unusual wake up call.
For most people, hearing a strange noise out on your porch isn’t the best sound you want to hear early in the morning.
And neither did Tim Newton when he was woken by a noise that wasn’t his alarm clock.
“It was right near dawn. I heard some noises; it was like something scrambling on the deck. Coming out of my slumber, I thought, ‘What the heck is that?’ So I put on my bathrobe and slowly eased back the curtain. And right there, 2 feet away, was a lynx kitten. He was sitting there watching his siblings race by.”
He snapped some pictures of the cute cubs, who almost appear to be playing up for the camera, aware of their cuteness.

He said the experience was a once in a lifetime and was thoroughly impressed with his meeting of the cats.

“They were running back and forth, pouncing on each other. I started snapping away. I thought, ‘Wow! What incredible luck. This just beats all. This is just wonderful!’”
At first it was just the cubs he could see, but soon enough their doting mother also appeared on the scene.

Tim describes one of the more lively of the moments with the lynx cubs:
“I don’t know why I did this — maybe to say to him, ‘Oh, what a cute little kitty!’ — but I pulled the camera away from my face little, and my eyes showed. The look of terror on that kitten’s face! His eyes were wide open, and he just flew away from me! But the others didn’t pick up on it.”
Tim said they stayed for around 40 minutes frolicking on his decking before they set off to enjoy the rest of their day elsewhere.
