The Tesla truck has divided public opinions on its look but there is no denying how unique it is!
Given that it looks like something out of a NASA thought experiment, you’ll be pleased to learn that the Tesla truck is going to be a lot cheaper than expected.
Elon Musk, CEO of the company recently revealed the cost of the vehicle and it’s not what you’d expect.
In his ‘Ride the Lightning podcast’, Musk Told Ryan McCarthy that the Tesla pickup truck would have a starting price of around $49,000 meaning that the futuristic four-wheeled truck could be yours for quite a reasonable price.
This new Tesla truck has the potential to outdo many of the trucks that we have grown to know and love over the years.
Musk is confident that the new truck will give the user an experience that they’ve never felt before and boldly claims that it will out perform an F-150. According to Musk, the Tesla truck will be ‘incredibly functional’ and will be well worth every penny.
Musk has been outspoken in his confidence of the truck and has never held back in talking about the intriguing vehicle. He notes that it will have dual motor, all wheel drive, enormous levels of torque and much more.
Electrek.co wrote as follows in regards to this truck:
“Tesla is planning to unveil its electric pickup later this year and the design of the vehicle is probably the most mysterious than any vehicle in Tesla’s history.”
The first pictures that revealed the look of the truck caused quite a stir on social media an certainly got people talking. It’s clear to see that when it comes to design, Tesla cuts absolutely no corners.
This is the very first official image of the truck and leaves a lot to the imagination. As with Tesla tradition, the mystery surrounding the pickup truck has been quite the hot topic in recent times.
According to CNN as follows reigns true:
“Musk did not say to which version of the F-150 he was comparing the Tesla. There are many. Ford F-150 prices vary enormously from $30,000 for a simple work truck to more than $70,000 for roomy, luxurious trucks with powerful engines. Ford has also said it will make its own all-electric version of the F-150.
Even at less than $50,000, the Tesla (TSLA) pickup would still cost more than the average truck. The average price paid for a pickup in America last month was about $37,000, according to the auto web site KBB.com.”
The design of the Tesla pickup may be off-putting to many, Musk said.

This image from Musk alone raises a lot of questions but it’s obvious that a lot more goes into the design and creation of these things than we could ever completely get our heads around.
The truck boasts sonar technology and automatic parking and if you can afford it, this 50 thousand dollar truck isn’t something you’ll want to pass up.
