At 86 years old, the legendary Willie Nelson is showing no signs of slowing down!
When Willie isn’t on the road touring, you’ll probably find him on his ranch out in the Texas Hill Country.
The singer has recently rescued 70 horses that were about to be sent to the slaughterhouse, and then onto a glue factory. For these beautiful animals it really is a horrible fate and Willie rescued them in the nick of time!
Willie is a lover of all things natural and especially horses as he’s spent his life riding them and caring for them. His good nature and strong moral code could not let the horses be killed so now they live on his 700-acre property, dubbed “Luck Ranch.”
On the ranch, the horses have almost endless amounts of space to roam free and Willie treats them like the kings and queens they are
Speaking to The Epoch Times, Willie said:
My horses are probably the luckiest horses in the world. They get hand-fed twice a day, and they were just ready to go to slaughter is probably the last thing they remembered, so they’re happy horses.
